Andre Grondin
Andre is a sales professional with a vast diversity of experience in many levels of various industries and organizations. Beginning his career with an international industrial construction firm, moving into mining and exploration, and into the mechanical field, he has seen projects of all scales from many perspectives and from conception to turnover and production. Andre’s network and communication skills allow him to ensure that the best people are where they need to be to move your project forward and get your business where it needs to be. Andre studied Economics and Geology at Saint Mary’s University.
Ali Remshani
Ali is an entrepreneur who began his career in real estate development in north Africa, later moving into the import/export of specialized petroleum products for industrial process equipment. Ali’s networking abilities and contacts across Canada and north Africa have allowed him to establish agency agreements with many Canadian companies, successfully marketing their products in north African markets and vice versa. Ali has a deep understanding of the business processes of Libya and Canada having studied business administration at Tripoli College as well as Algonquin College in Ottawa.
Otman Fiture
Otman is an international sales professional specializing in the medical and petroleum sectors. Beginning his career in healthcare and moving into medical supply sales acquiring over 30 years of experience in this field. Otman has proven his ability to navigate the challenges involved with Canadian and Libyan health care supply chain logistics and continues to excel in this space. He sits on the advisory board of Cre8Medical Inc (Cre8medical.com) and has been instrumental in the development of a critical supply chain link for Libyans and Canadians alike. Otman holds a BSc Biology from the University of Toronto.
Abdullah Salama
Abduallah is an executive assistant with a proven history of providing administrative support for organizations in Libya. His role in the establishment and development of some of Libya’s most prominent oil and gas companies gives ALC a strategic advantage in handling the daily operations and in navigating the legal and institutional frameworks within the country. Abdullah’s business development skills help us work with the right people, through the right channels, to drive our projects. Abdullah studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Tripoli and holds a master’s degree from the Planning Institute for Postgraduate Studies in Tripoli.
Carole Gilbert
Carole is a geologist and a corporate, securities and M&A lawyer with broad international experience in the mining and engineering consulting industries. She brings 15 years of legal, governance, capital markets, debt financing and industry expertise with large cap, mid-tier and junior companies listed in Canada and the United States and operating in Canada, West Africa, Australia, Europe and South America. Her experience includes leading complex business transactions and navigating the legal, social, compliance and cultural risks related to global operations. She holds a Bachelor of Civil Law, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science (Geology) from McGill University.
Lydia Jabs
Lydia Jabs is a leader in US-Middle East relations, serving as the Executive Director of the US-Libya Business Association and a partner at Cursari Strategies, a firm focused on security and finance. In her role at USLBA, Lydia is instrumental in fostering stronger diplomatic and commercial relationships between the United States and Libya, demonstrating her adeptness in navigating complex international landscapes. Her outstanding contributions to the field were acknowledged in 2023 when she was honored with a “40 under 40”; award by the Middle East Policy Council, highlighting her as a key influencer in US-Middle East policy. Lydia is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where she focuses on integrating her experience in international relations with advanced business strategies. Her academic foundation includes a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from Dartmouth College, where her research and internships led her to live in Rabat, Morocco and Tunis, Tunisia. Lydia’s career reflects a commitment to economic growth and sustainable development in the Middle East through diplomacy and innovation.
Peter Mokrycke
Peter is a business and real estate owner and operator with a hospitality portfolio including assets in Ontario and Portugal. Peter has sat on the board at a Canadian financial institution where his operational perspective aided in regional decision making. He brings over 15 years of experience in operations management, navigating complex regulatory regimes, and organizational development. Peter has founded and developed several organizations through intelligent implementation of business systems, leadership and hard work. Peter attended the HBA Program at the Ivey Business School at Western University.
